Important Dates to Remember from “Back to the Future Part II”
A quick review (spoilers) for those who have been tricked by fake screencaps this week.
- October 26, 1985: Part II picks up right where Part I left off. Doc shows up at the McFly residence the same morning Marty returns from 1955, raving “You have to go back with me … to the future!” because something has got to be done about Marty and Jennifer’s kids. Biff catches a glimpse of the DeLorean as it flies down the street.
- October 21, 2015: This is the “Future Day” that pops up in doctored screencaps with the wrong date. Doc, Marty and Jennifer arrive in the future to prevent Marty Jr. from participating in a robbery with Biff’s son, Griff. Doc previously traveled to the future and witnessed the negative effects on Marty’s family. In the future people wear ugly fluorescent clothing with weird patterns much like they do today.
- October 26, 1985-A: “Biffhorrific” 1985. Alternate 1985 that Doc, Marty and Jennifer experience as a result of the misplaced sports almanac that Marty buys in 2015. Old Biff steals the DeLorean, delivers the almanac to himself in 1955 and now Hill Valley is a nightmare town run by Biff and his cronies.
- November 12, 1955: Doc and Marty finally retrieve the almanac during the tunnel chase scene. Biff crashes his ‘46 Ford into a manure truck for the second time. The almanac is burned, the DeLorean is struck by lightning and due to malfunctioning time circuits, Doc is sent back to 1885 (to be continued in Part III).
"Future Day" was not last year, is not this year, and will not be next year. Only on October 21, 2015 will those Facebook posts be correct.
